Specialty of Department

This department deals with basic principles of Ayurved.
Study of ayurveda`s Samhita Granth like Charak Samhita, Sushrut Samhita & Ashtang Hriday come under this department.
Subjects like Maulik Siddhant evam Ashtang Hridayam, Padarth vidnyan evam Ayurved Itihas, Charak Samhita & Sanskrit are taught to BAMS 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd year students.
It deals with basic principles on which all branches of Ayurved are developed and hence its study is important to be good clinicians.
