Introduction

Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant Department is one of the department of the Ayurveda education. Which deals with the study of basic principles of Ayurveda described in Ayurveda Samhita treatise.This department also known as Basic Principal of Ayurveda Department. Samhita Adhyayan I, Samhita Adhyayan II, Padarth Vidnyan, Sanskrit evum Ayurved Itihas these Subjects from first Year to Final year taught by this department. Ayurvedas most of the texts language is Sanskrit. Teaching of Sanskrit subjects helps to student to better understand the meaning of Samhita treatise. Student can able to apply the basic principles of Ayurveda and Samhita knowledge in research, health care and treatment by studying these subjects.

Objectives

  • To provide quality education of fundamentals of Ayurved.
  • To enable students to read and understand samhita texts.
  • To develop interest in students for ancient Ayurvedas wisdom by means of modern tools and scientific innovations to make their knowledge up to date.
  • To encourage students for samhita based research.
  • To develop human resources in ayurvedic medical science based on Samhita teachings.
